چکیده

Hematite concentration is an important climatic proxy for environmental (climatic) studies of soils and sediments. However, the accurate quantification naturally occurring hematite has always been a difficult question, especially those areas with lower concentrations. Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) effective method identification detection limits. In this study, we synthesized set samples well-determined concentrations to explore exact detectable range propose most transfer function between DRS concentration. addition, natural sediments from Inland Asia Western Pacific Ocean were used further test feasibility new function. Results show that lowest limit could reach ~0.00078%, but affected by matrix. We also find second derivative Kubelka–Munk (K–M) monotonically correlated (0.00078%–100%), ambiguities exist first derivative. Therefore, K–M highly suggested quantification, when exhibits wide variations. This study provides references application promotes popularization development method.

Quantitative Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy

In the field of biomedical optics, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) is a frequently used technique for obtaining information about the optical properties of the medium under investigation. The method utilizes spectral difference between incident and backscattered light intensity for quantifying the underlying absorption and scattering processes that affects the light-medium interaction. I...

Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy

The appearance of a soil results from the interaction of its different constituents with incident light. Color and various other attributes of the appearance of soil are highly sensitive to the nature, proportion, particle size and morphology, and spatial association of its mineral and organic components. In fact, color has been used for more than 75 yr to obtain information about these soil pr...

Instrument independent diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.

Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy with a fiber optic probe is a powerful tool for quantitative tissue characterization and disease diagnosis. Significant systematic errors can arise in the measured reflectance spectra and thus in the derived tissue physiological and morphological parameters due to real-time instrument fluctuations. We demonstrate a novel fiber optic probe with real-time, self-ca...

Noninvasive prediction of glucose by near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.

BACKGROUND Self-monitoring of blood glucose by diabetics is crucial in the reduction of complications related to diabetes. Current monitoring techniques are invasive and painful, and discourage regular use. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the use of near-infrared (NIR) diffuse reflectance over the 1050-2450 nm wavelength range for noninvasive monitoring of blood glucose. METHODS Two ...

Determination of hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical formulations by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy

This paper describes a method for quantitative spot test analysis of hydrochlorothiazide using diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The reflectance measurements were performed analyzing the colored compound (l = 585 nm) produced from the reaction between hydrochlorothiazide and pdimethylaminocinnamaldehyde (PDAC) in acid medium. This reaction occurred on filter paper after heating to 80oC for 8 mi...
